Sledgehammer previously developed Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Activision announced the next chapter in the Call of Duty franchise last week, revealing that the franchise would be heading back to World War II for the first time since 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War. IGN also had a chance to preview COD: WWII ahead of the reveal. WWII will also offer a separate co-op campaign, featuring an original story, which Activision confirmed will be a Nazi Zombies cooperative mode.Īs part of the Call of Duty: WWII reveal, Activision also unveiled the first multiplayer details for the next Call of Duty. The campaign's cast includes Josh Duhamel (Transformers), Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom), and Jeffrey Pierce (Bosch). Both the D-Day Invasion of Normandy and the Battle of the Bulge, two of World War II’s most well-known battles, will be featured in the game. Locations will include the famed beaches of Normandy, as well as scenes set during the liberation of Paris before the Division finds its way to Germany. ![]()
